4. Théâtre du Châtelet

The Théâtre du Châtelet was inaugurated in 1862, designed by Jean-Nicolas Huyot. It was built to host large operas, operettas, and musical theater performances. The theater is known for its grand size and beautiful interior design. Over the years, it has hosted many major performances, including operas, musicals, and ballets. In 1867, it hosted the first performance of Orphée aux Enfers by Jacques Offenbach.
