Place Masséna, technically just outside Old Nice, still feels like part of the historic heart with its elegant architecture and open spaces. It’s the city’s main square, easily recognized by its checkerboard floor and bright red buildings.

The square often hosts events and seasonal markets. It's close to both the Old Town and the beach, a central place to pass through when exploring Nice.
